General Conditions
Full payment is required to secure your position on the workshop unless arranged alternatively with Phil Copp Photos.
By registering and providing full or arranged part payment you agree in total to abide by these terms and conditions plus any other additional terms and conditions relevant to the specific workshop you are attending. These will be made available to you for each workshop.
We aim to provide every participant with a safe, educational and enjoyable experience during the workshops. As there is always certain risks and dangers associated with photography, the outdoors and travel, we accept no responsibility or liability for injury, death, illness, accident, losses or additional expenses associated with workshop participation. Nor do we accept responsibility for damage to equipment, property or digital data loss.
Every participant must assess their own suitability, in terms of fitness and stamina, for the workshop that they join. Medical, equipment and travel insurance is your own responsibility. You must notify us of any medical condition that we should know about. We assume no liability regarding provision of medical care. All information is completely confidential.
We shall have no responsibility for additional expenses due to unforeseen delays caused by weather, theft or criminal activity of any kind, political disputes, acts of terrorism, strikes, sickness, failure of flights or other transportation to arrive or depart on time, and other causes beyond our control.
We are not responsible for additional travel or accommodation not specified in the workshop itineraries which may be required en route, prior to or following a trip, caused by airline scheduling or schedule changes, or by individual clients’ travel arrangements or by other factors. We cannot assume any responsibility for loss or damage to baggage or personal property.
We reserve the right to substitute venues and facilities, and to alter the itinerary when deemed necessary or advisable. The right is also reserved to cancel any photo workshop prior to departure upon the refund of all payments received. This includes where the workshop is not adequately booked.
We are not responsible for additional expenses incurred by workshop members in preparing for the trip (i.e. non-refundable advance-purchase air tickets, equipment, etc.)
NO ALCOHOL is permitted to be consumed for the duration of the workshop. Person/s arriving at the workshop under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be permitted to attend.
Any decisions made by workshop organisers for the duration of the workshop will be final.
Any photos/videos captured by the workshop organisers of you and/or your equipment will be considered able to be used for promotional purposes for future workshops and events. You grant Phil Copp Photos a perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide, irrevocable, model released licence to use such photos and videos in print and electronic form for future marketing and promotion of services provided by Phil Copp Photos.
The workshop format may change at any time depending on local conditions, the weather or other conditions. This will be at the discretion of the workshop organiser.
Cancellation and Refunds
For multi day workshops:
You may cancel at any time although you will only receive part of the fee depending on how close to the workshop you cancel. No refunds will be given for withdrawal after the photo workshop begins or if you do not show up.
- More than 30 days out you will be refunded 100% minus any booking fees. – More than 7 days but less than 30 days you will be refunded 50% minus any booking fees. – Less than 7 days you will be refunded 0%.
For single day workshops:
- More than 7 days out you will be refunded 100% minus any booking fees. Less than 7 days, no refund will be provided.
Where the event organiser cancels the workshop, a full refund will be provided minus any booking fees.
You may transfer your workshop enrolment to another workshop. Where that value is less than the credit value, no refund of difference will be made. Where the value is more the difference will be required to be paid before your enrolment can be confirmed.
